Welcome to our WACC Website!

Hopefully, your visit means you are thinking about either continuing your learning, or returning to learning after a break. Maybe you are looking for job, wanting to develop your career, set up your own business or you want to brush up on skills to help your children with their homework. Perhaps you want to widen your network of friends whilst learning in a safe, friendly and supportive college. You may even be an employer, keen to see how WACC can help you fulfill your company’s training and development needs. There are lots of reasons to learn with WACC – and we hope you will find our website a useful guide in choosing the route which is just right for you or your company’s ambitions.

Our courses and apprenticeship schemes help to enhance people’s skills for life, for employment and self-employment, for active citizenship and personal wellbeing and development.

The college aims to be the best provider of adult learning and skills in the West Midlands, by working in partnerships to raise people’s skills for work, for life, for active citizenship and the Big Society.

Nine out of ten learners who started a course with us last year successfully completed their course, achieved their learning goals and many went on to progress to other things. Our learners tell us they feel safe, valued and respected by our college staff. They tell us that teaching is good at WACC and, when we asked learners their overall opinion of the College, 99.7% of them said they were happy with the service they received from us.

Making a decision about investing time, effort and possibly money in learning can be challenging. However, At WACC we have caring and approachable people you can speak with as an individual seeking personal direction, or as an employer seeking advice about workforce planning and training.

Simply e mail us with a query at info@wacc.ac.uk, give us a call, drop-in to our Hawbush Centre or our Whitehall Centre, or even come along to one of our open events which are promoted on this web-site and in the local press, local libraries and community venues. If we cannot help you directly we will advise you about how you can secure the information and assistance you need.

If you need help deciding what the next step should be, visit the Student Support or Employer Support pages of this web-site and book an appointment for an advice and guidance meeting.

Very best wishes

Maria Gilling
