Beauty Therapy Skills
Why Study Beauty
Whether it’s the catwalk or your local beauty salon, there’s always a professional at hand to create the latest look or completely transform your image. This makes the hair and beauty industry one of the most exciting and profitable businesses around the world.
The beauty industry is growing fast, with new job opportunities ranging from your local salon to the glitz and glamour of television and film. But this growth also means that the industry is demanding more training and qualifications for entry to this exciting, yet competitive, sector.
Having the latest skills and qualifications could lead to employment as a make-up artist for weddings, films, magazines or television; or you could become a beauty therapist, masseuse, nail artist or even a manager of a salon. Self-employment is a popular option, with many running their own freelance businesses, whilst some work overseas or in the glamorous world of cruise ships.
Many of our students at WACC use their skills closer to home, pampering their own friends and family, or they are the designated make-up artist at friends’ weddings and parties. However you want to use your skills, we have a team of dedicated professionals who will help you turn your passion into professionalism
