Horticulture

Courses at W.A.C.C prepare you for a career in the design and horticulture industry and our excellent links with employers provide great opportunities for you to gain work experience.

Our employers tell us they have difficulty recruiting workers who are dependable, quick, multi-skilled and with good communication, site-safety and team-working skills. So at WACC, we focus on developing these skills alongside a range of trade specific practical knowledge and abilities.

Key Facts

Some of our students at WACC use their skills in construction or horticulture at home to develop their own living and outdoor environment. Our students also work on our market gardens at the College and in Goscote Greenacres Community Garden, where they learn to cultivate vegetables, fruit and flowers for use at home, in the College and community kitchens and cafes.
